Respond to how the vehicle feels
If steering changes, a tyre looks low, vibration begins or the warning follows an impact, slow smoothly and stop safely.
Check all four tyres
- Look for deflation, cuts or bulges
- Use an accurate gauge where available
- Compare with the vehicle placard, not the tyre maximum
- Recheck after inflation because a leak can return
When the sensor may be at fault
A flashing warning, correct pressures or a message after wheel work can indicate a sensor or calibration problem. Still inspect the tyres first.
