Run-flat systems vary. Permitted distance and speed come from the vehicle and tyre manufacturer, not a universal internet rule.
Stop if control is uncertain
- Do not continue if the tyre is shredded or off the rim
- Stop if steering, vibration or stability is poor
- Do not exceed the specified distance or speed
- Treat the warning as urgent even if the car feels normal
Repair decisions can be stricter
A run-flat used without pressure may have experienced severe internal stress. Manufacturer policy and full inspection decide whether replacement is required.
